EF 141 Materials

Written Work

We will require that all written work is completed following the PROCESS template, unless otherwise stated. We will provide paper copies in class, but you are welcome to use a digital copy on your own device as well, or simply include all the required sections on your own page.

Uploading Written Work

For many assignments you need to upload multiple images to a single file submission. We recommend that you use an app to convert cell phone images to PDF files so that the contrast in the images can be adjusted and the image straightened for grading purposes.

One of the apps we recommend you use is CamScanner. This is a free app that allows single images to a single PDF or batch uploading of files to create a multipage PDF file that can then be downloaded to google drive or sent via email to yourself so you can upload to the EF submission link.

How to use CamScanner

  1. Open the app once downloaded. The app will walk you through a tutorial on how to upload an image and turn into a PDF.
  2. Click on the camera button at bottom of screen, it will open the camera on your phone. As with the camera app, you can scroll through the options but the SCAN option will likely be the one you will use most.
  3. Take a picture of each piece of work you want to combine into the PDF document. It will automatically adjust contrast and straighten the image for you.
  4. Hit theDone button and it will show you each page of the document.
  5. Either hit the Share icon in the bottom middle of the screen or click on the More button to get more options for sending your document. I recommend you either email to yourself using Share or upload the document to your google drive (using More options, Send/Share section) to save the document and access it by your computer to upload to the EF website.
